African American and Amish Cultural Development in the US

The African American culture has a strong presence in the United States, affecting the relationships between citizens ad defining the communication process in various domains, from business to education to healthcare. The African American culture started with the oral tradition and the transfer of cultural knowledge about essential traditions and beliefs among African Americans in the 17th century. The concept of slavery and racial discrimination that followed it were the main factors in creating social inequality for representatives of African American culture. Nowadays, the impact of the specified imbalance in relationships defines the relationships between African Americans and European Americans.

The Amish heritage is also rather vast in the U.S. Despite being represented by a comparatively small community, the Amish culture has a long history of being introduced to American citizens through various media, from folklore to cinema. The described specifics of relationships between the Amish community and the rest of American society also suggest a certain amount of cultural biases and prejudices in modern American society.

For instance, due to the history of being represented s people that have refused to utilize appliances and other tools, the Amish heritage is often misrepresented in modern media as that one of underdeveloped and technically underdeveloped society. Nonetheless, the essence of Amish values and philosophy have been represented in the modern popular culture of the United States. As a result, both African American and Amish cultures are intrinsically tied to the greater notion of the American culture. Although some of the principles and ideas that are communicated within the described cultures may be alien to American culture, on the whole, the general trend is quite evident.
